Petzl Nao Reactive Lighting

The Nao is a reactive torch that senses conditions and adapts light output accordingly. If you’re trying to read a map, for example, the Nao softens the beam and lowers the brightness; whereas if you’re peering ahead to an open track, its dual LEDs kick in for a 355 lumens beam. No hands needed, no fiddling with gloves and buttons, it customises to fit ambient conditions. Tinke Wellness Monitor

This is a way to get a sense of your fitness. And, according to Tinke, what they call your Zen Index. It’s made to work with the old iPhone connector (so iPhone 5ers will need an adapter) and using it couldn’t be simpler. Plug it in and follow the app’s set up. Then press your thumb on the two sensors until you get an okay prompt.

It measures heart rate, blood oxygen levels, heart rate variability (HRV) and the respiratory rate. Out of this it conjures up a Vita Index, an overall fitness rating and a Zen Index, which aims to quantify your stress levels in a simplified manner. Tinke Wellness Monitor $119.00 from zensorium.com
